Light of the World
Walking out of darkness
Jesus declares Himself the light of the world: whoever follows Him does not walk in darkness, but has the light of life. In a time without electricity, the image was powerful; He is the brightness that guides every step (John 8:12).
Walking out of darkness
Jesus doesn't promise to explain everything, but to give direction: whoever follows Him 'will never walk in the darkness'. Light is less about answers and more about presence.
The light that also exposes and heals
Light reveals what was hidden, not to shame, but to heal, as He did with the man born blind.
