The righteous man who built the ark
In the middle of a corrupt world, he found favor in God’s eyes and obeyed by building the ark; after the flood, God sealed a covenant with the rainbow.
A righteous man in a corrupt world
When 'the earth was corrupt', Noah 'found favor in the eyes of the LORD'. He spent decades building a huge ark far from the sea, probably while being mocked.
The rainbow covenant
After the flood, God promises never again to destroy the earth by water and gives the rainbow as a sign, the first explicit covenant in the Bible.
