Legion cast out
A tormented man who lived among the tombs is set free by Jesus and restored, and is sent to tell what God has done.
The story
A man ruled by a “legion” of demons lived naked among the tombs, cutting himself. Jesus sets him free; the town finds him “clothed and in his right mind,” and, afraid, asks Jesus to leave.
The meaning
No darkness is too strong for Jesus. Strangely, the town fears the change more than it grieved over the sickness.
