Two disciples leave Jerusalem sad, thinking it was all over. Jesus walks with them, but 'their eyes were kept from recognizing Him'.
Recognized in the breaking of the bread
Jesus opens the Scriptures to them, showing how everything pointed to the suffering Messiah. They only recognize Him when He breaks the bread, and their hearts had been 'burning' since the road.
