The Good Samaritan
A Bible story for kids ages 3–8. Read it together, do the actions and talk at the end.
A man who studied God's Law asked Jesus: who is my neighbor?
Jesus answered by telling a story. Shh! Shall we listen?
👉 Put your hand behind your ear to hear really well!
A man was traveling down a road. Some robbers took his things and left him hurt on the ground.
A priest came by, who served in the temple. He saw the man… and passed by on the other side.
👉 Take little steps to the side, like someone walking around!
Then a Levite came by, another temple helper. He saw him too… and passed by on the other side.
👉 Shake your head no: that's not how!
Then a Samaritan came, a man from another people. When he saw the man, he felt so sorry for him and stopped!
He took care of his wounds, put the man on his own animal and took him to an inn, a little hotel.
👉 Gently pat your arm, like someone caring for a boo-boo.
The next day, he gave money to the innkeeper and said, “Take care of him.” What a kind heart!
Jesus asked: who was the man's neighbor? It was the one who felt sorry and helped with love.
Jesus said, “Go and do likewise.” That means: you can help people in need too!
👉 Reach out your hand, like someone offering help!
Verse: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27)

Mission of the week: Help someone at home without being asked: tidy up, carry something or give a hug.
