Paul and Silas Sing in Prison
A Bible story for kids ages 3–8. Read it together, do the actions and talk at the end.
Paul and Silas traveled from town to town, telling everyone about Jesus.
👉 March in place, like someone traveling on foot!
Some men got angry and put the two of them in prison, with their feet locked in a wooden block.
What a dark, sad place! But Paul and Silas didn't complain. They trusted God.
At midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God! And the other prisoners were listening.
👉 Sing a beautiful praise song!
Suddenly: boom, boom, boom! A big earthquake shook the whole prison!
👉 Stomp your feet: boom, boom, boom!
All the doors flew open, and everyone's chains came loose! Click, clack!
👉 Open your arms really wide, like doors opening!
The jailer, the prison guard, woke up scared. He thought all the prisoners had escaped.
But Paul shouted really loud: don't worry, we are all here! No one had escaped.
👉 Shout with Paul: we are all here!
The jailer asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus.”
He took care of Paul and Silas, gave them food, and his whole family believed in God. What joy!
👉 Clap and celebrate with the jailer's family!
