Jesus Is Alive!
A Bible story for kids ages 3–8. Read it together, do the actions and talk at the end.
Jesus loved all people. He healed, hugged children and taught about God's love.
👉 Give a big, warm hug to someone near you!
But some men did not believe in Jesus and decided to take Him to a cross. Jesus accepted it, out of love for us.
On the cross, Jesus prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”
👉 Put your hands on your heart, very quietly.
The sky grew dark. Jesus said, “Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit.” His friends were sad.
A good man named Joseph carefully laid Jesus in a tomb cut in the rock, like a little cave.
A great big stone closed the entrance. Everything got very quiet… Shhh! But the story wasn't over!
👉 Go shhh with your finger on your lips!
On Sunday, very early, Jesus' women friends went to the tomb. The sun was rising.
👉 Stretch like someone waking up very early!
The earth shook! An angel came down from heaven, rolled away the stone and sat on it. So bright!
👉 Pretend you're rolling a huge stone!
The angel said, “Do not be afraid.” And he told them, “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said!”
The women ran with great joy. And Jesus met them, saying, “Greetings!” Jesus is alive!
👉 Jump for joy and shout: Hallelujah!
Verse: “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said!” (Matthew 28:6)

- How did Jesus' friends feel when they found out He was alive?
- Who do you want to tell that Jesus is alive?
Mission of the week: Tell one person this week that Jesus is alive, and draw a picture of the empty tomb.
