Jesus Washes Feet
A Bible story for kids ages 3–8. Read it together, do the actions and talk at the end.
It was the Passover feast. Jesus was having dinner with His friends, the disciples.
Jesus loved His friends so much. The Bible says He loved them to the very end!
👉 Make a heart with your hands!
Suddenly, Jesus got up from the table, took off His cloak and wrapped a towel around His waist.
👉 Pretend you're wrapping a towel around your tummy!
Back then, everyone wore sandals on dirt roads. Their feet got all dusty!
👉 Stomp your feet, like someone walking on the road!
Jesus poured water into a basin. Splash! And He began to wash and dry His friends' feet.
👉 Make the sound of water: splash, splash!
When it was Peter's turn, he was amazed: “Lord, are You going to wash my feet?”
Jesus explained, and Peter said, “not only my feet, but my hands and my head as well!”
👉 Point really fast: feet, hands and head!
Then Jesus sat down and asked, “Do you know what I have done for you?” He, the Teacher, served everyone.
Jesus taught: do as I have done! Whoever loves helps and serves others with kindness.
👉 Give a kind pat on the shoulder to someone near you!
Verse: “I have set you an example so that you should do as I have done for you.” (John 13:15)
