Jesus Loves the Children
A Bible story for kids ages 3–8. Read it together, do the actions and talk at the end.
Jesus taught beautiful things about God, and lots of people came to listen.
One day, families brought their children to Jesus so He could touch them. There were kids of every size!
👉 Show with your hand: a tiny kid, a middle kid and a great big kid!
But the disciples, Jesus' friends, scolded the people bringing the children. They thought it wasn't the right time.
Jesus saw it and didn't like it one bit! He said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them!”
👉 Open your arms and say: come on in!
Jesus explained: the kingdom of God belongs to those who trust Him the way a child trusts Mom and Dad.
Then Jesus took the children in His arms, put His hands on them and blessed them.
👉 Give someone near you a great big hug!
To bless is to ask God for good things for someone. Jesus asked for good things for each child.
👉 Put your little hands together, like when you pray.
Jesus still loves children today. He loves YOU, just the way you are!
👉 Point to yourself and say: Jesus loves me!
