Breakfast on the Beach
A Bible story for kids ages 3–8. Read it together, do the actions and talk at the end.
Jesus had risen! One night, Peter told his friends, “I am going fishing.” And they all went together in the boat.
👉 Row the boat: row, row, row!
They threw the net all night long… and nothing! Not even one little fish.
👉 Throw a pretend net and pull: nothing!
When morning came, a man was standing on the shore. It was Jesus, but they didn't know it yet!
👉 Shade your eyes with your hand and peek at the beach!
Jesus said, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.”
👉 Show your right hand and throw the net that way!
They obeyed and… wow! The net was so full of fish they couldn't even pull it in!
👉 Pull the net with all your might: heave, ho!
A friend shouted, “It is the Lord!” Peter was so happy he jumped into the water! Splash!
👉 Jump in place: splash!
On the beach, Jesus already had a fire going, with fish and bread on it. What a yummy smell!
👉 Sniff the air: mmmm, what a good smell!
Peter pulled in the net: 153 big fish! And the net didn't tear!
👉 Count fish on your fingers until you get tired!
“Come, have breakfast,” Jesus said to them. And He Himself gave bread and fish to each one.
👉 Rub your tummy: yum, yum!
Jesus was alive and lovingly took care of His friends. He takes care of you too, every day!
👉 Hug someone and say: Jesus is alive!
Verse: “Come, have breakfast” (John 21:12)
